According to the hot climate conditions in summer, cooling tower manufacturers have designed and selected the cooling capacity of the closed cooling tower. In other seasons, especially winter, the cooling capacity may be excessive. When the liquid cooling tower is running, even if the ambient temperature is higher than zero, the water in the tube may drop to zero, or even freeze.
The closed cooling tower is to place the tubular heat exchanger (heat exchange coil) in the tower, and ensure the cooling effect through forced ventilation and heat exchange between spray water and circulating water. Its closed-loop characteristics can ensure less water consumption and no water pollution, ensure efficient operation of main equipment and prolong service life.
The water collecting tank, spray pipe and nozzle inside the tower body should be cleaned in time to avoid fouling and dirt from clogging the pipeline. Check the package for dirt. If there is dirt, it should be cleaned in time to ensure the cleanliness of the heat exchange environment. Clean the dirt on the surface of the fan blades, check the angle of the fan blades, the clearance between the fan blades and the air cylinder, and make adjustments.
Check whether the floating ball of the copper ball valve in the water collecting tank of the closed cooling tower is damaged and whether it is working normally. Check the collection tank and tower foot for leaks. If there is leakage, replenish the glue in time. Check whether the terminals of the fully enclosed motor are in good condition, whether the motor rotates abnormally, and whether the motor fixing screws are loose. No looseness.
For segmented heat exchange equipment such as closed cooling towers, in order to prevent the segments from cracking in low temperature climates, the circulating water in the segments should be excluded when shutting down. However, the cross-flow closed cooling tower has problems such as slow drainage speed and poor drainage, which leads to the freezing and cracking of the pipe section. In addition, cooling tower manufacturers feel that if the drainage is not clean, even if there is no freeze cracking, if there is local ice in the pipeline, the water hammer phenomenon may also cause problems with the whole machine, such as pipeline bursting during startup. Therefore, the closed cooling tower often has the problem of freezing crack in actual use.
